Miss Shawna Gerau Santee serves as the Artistic Director and Owner of 5th St. Center for Dance LLC. She has devoted her life to teaching her students the art of dance for over 21 years. She trained locally when younger and then trained under Norma Pera at Baltimore School for the Arts, where she graduated as a Dance Major. She studied at Point Park University under Roberto Munoz and Laura Alonso and performed several seasons as a Soloist for the Charleston Ballet, under the direction of Kim Pauley. Miss Shawna finds joy in sharing her talents and abilities with her students and fostering their love and admiration for dance. She strives to challenge and motivate her students and continues her own dance education thru workshops, seminars and classes. She resides in Fairmont and is a loving wife and mother to her four boys. She teaches the majority of the classes at our studio and has trained dancers that have attended WV Governor’s School for the Arts, WVU Dance Team, WVU Dance Program as well as Summer Intensives.
